A Gorgeous Journal from Paperblanks
One of my marketing partners contacted me a couple of weeks ago and asked me if I wanted to test out a new line of journals that are coming out from Paperblanks. .I poked around on their website for less than 2 minutes and came back with an enthusiastic YES!
Obviously, I love to write, and nothing is as inspiring to a writer than a gorgeous journal to write your thoughts in. Paperblanks is celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year and they have just released a new line of journals to celebrate.
Their designs have such a great historic feel because they take great artwork from around the world for their inspiration. Then they take the best materials to bring these gorgeous designs to life. They use unusual techniques and artistry to create the incredible texture of the covers and the edges, they bind them with metal or magnetic clasps, they design different bindings, and different page types for different purposes - journaling, drawing, or whatever - even day planners. There literally is a size and a style for everyone.

It probably took me close to an hour of looking through their catalog and website before I decided on this beauty. I was eyeballing the Japanese Ori series, which looks like of like origami made with pure silver, or the Mucha collection which looks like art nouveau with rich and intricate details. But I kept coming back to Silver Filigree collection.
In person, it looks like delicate, laser-etched metal and it has gorgeous, rich embossed designs along the edges of the pages and has etched silver clasps to hold it closed. It literally is so elegant, I have no idea what I'm going to be able to come up with to write in it. I may have to write a book or take up poetry or something, cuz you can't just write grocery lists or gripes about the weather in something this beautiful!
Disclaimer: I received the above Filigree journal as compensation from Paperblanks and Zebra Partners, but as always, my opinions are strictly my own.

I think the thing that surprised me the most was that Paperblanks is also an environmentally friendly company. They use acid-free materials that are derived from sustainable forests and their binder boards are made with 100% recycled materials. I'm the leader of the Green Team at work, so I found that particularly impressive.
Take a minute to pop over to their website and browse around for a bit and see which style is your favorite. You can purchase these beauties at a stationery retailer near you or online at Amazon.
