Support Shot@Life during the Month of Blogust

During the EVO Conference, I heard about the Shot@Life campaign, which is a charitable foundation that is focused on providing vaccinations to children in underdeveloped nations.  It only takes $20 to provide a child with a lifetime of vaccinations that may save his or her life.  Just the cost of a T-shirt or a few gallons of gas against the life of a child - sheesh!

Untold numbers of children are dying every day from curable diseases because their parents do not have access to the vaccinations for them and that's just sad, so I'm glad someone is doing something about it.

Pretty sure this is Devi Thomas speaking on behalf of
Shot@Life at Evo, but I'm terrible at names!

Now there is something you can do to help and the good news is it's super EASY!  All you have to do is go over to Blogust.org and find the featured blog of the day - 31 days = 31 interesting new blogs to read.  Then you go there and leave a comment.  For EVERY comment received on that day, the Shot@Life sponsors will donate that $20 needed to protect ONE child.

And I've seen the Blogust line-up and let me tell you, you are in for a treat.  I know most of these folks and they are some of the true stars in the blogging world.  You will be glad you joined the party!

Note:  I have seen some nasty comments on other blogs about the desirability of vaccinations.  I understand that there are some issues and controversy about vaccinations here in the US.  I don't know that much about it and I suspect that some of it might be valid, but this isn't the forum.  These people want the vaccinations and too many children in these countries have died for the lack of access to them.  Fortunately, we are in a country where we have the right to choose one way or the other for our children, and I want all mothers to have that same opportunity.

If you don't have time to go visit the bloggers, you can make a contribution to the Shot@Life campaign here.
