Why "I Dare Ya" is Never a Good Thing
This was a while back, but I just read something that reminded me of it. A couple of years ago, Blake learned the hard way that nothing good ever comes after "I dare you". Look at his poor arm!
He was at a pool party a couple of years ago when one of the boys got the bright idea to dare him to put his arm in the pool filter. Well, like a dumb bell, he did and this is what happened. One of the other boys heard him yelling and it took about 3 kids to pull his arm out of the filter. Those things are very powerful!
After that, we had a long talk about why people dare you to do something - basically because they think of something stupid enough that they won't do it and want to see if you're dumb enough to try it. After a visit to the emergency room, some X-rays and a course of antibiotics for anything nasty that might have been lurking in the filter, I think he got the message. Well, at least until the next time! Kids!!
