Christmas Card - Big Ooops!

You know some days you just can't win.

I spent probably an hour at Walgreen's website creating the most darling photo card. I spent $20 to get a double order of them and spent another chunk of money because I made the mistake of going into the Walgreen's to pick them up - big mistake! (They've got a LOT of cute stuff in there.)

I tried to figure out how to post a picture of it - it's really very cute, but I couldn't figure out how to do it, so you'll have to take my word for it. I included the picture of everyone on the stairs and also separate pictures of my husband and I holding the baby. Very cute or at least I thought so at the time.

So I get the cards home and I started addressing them. I got about 10 of them done when I actually took a close look at the card. Go ahead - take a peek. Do you see anything amiss?

Yes, that's my darling son Matt - flipping Dad the bird - sheesh! Now to be fair, this is kind of an inside joke that Matt and I share and sometimes Tony too. We think it's funny to flip each other off once in a while (yes, we're an odd family like that), but we're very careful to not do it when any of the little kids are looking, and of course, there is a time and place where it might be more appropriate than a family picture with the grandkids. Especially when the picture is likely to be sent out to all our friends and relatives as our expression of Christmas joy!

So, as the saying goes, back to the drawing board and this time, Matt is paying for the Christmas cards! This is kind of like the Seinfeld episode when Elaine sends out her Christmas card with a picture of her, um, assets displayed a little more than was appropriate. I've actually seen that episode, so you'd think I'd be a little more careful. But I was just checking to make sure everyone's eyes were open and they were somewhat smiling. I didn't think to double-check it to make sure no one was slipping in any obscene gestures! Guess next year I'll check. With this crew, I guess anything is possible.
