I don't "get" Facebook
I have to admit, I don't "get" Facebook. I know it this day and age, that's like admitting you don't own a cell phone, or don't know what Tivo is, but I just don't get it.
I've been a member of it for like six months and I do out there every once in a while and poke my friends, or toss a sheep at them, or write on their walls. But what are you supposed to DO on there? It just seems like a huge time-waster to me. I've got some friends who must spend HOURS on there, taking quizzes and comparing books and movies, and all sorts of fun stuff (Hi Carol!!!)
I guess I'm just too practical. When I'm on the computer, I'm a busy girl and everything has a purpose. I'm either writing posts, checking customer E-mails, reading all the political BS everyone sends me (and boy, have I been getting a lot of it), placing orders, researching stamp sites, reading news stories (I don't watch the news or read the paper any more). or I'm writing material for my Messy Mom's class.
I like social networking sites like Craigslist, Splitcoaststampers, or Freecycle. Sites where you can accomplish something, meet people, or learn something.
But maybe I'm just not getting it. I was hoping Facebook was a place to promote my business, but I just can't figure out what to do with it or how to use it. If anyone has any good Facebook tips, I'd love to hear them. And if not, go ahead and add me as a friend. Maybe I'll throw a sheep at you!

I can't get into Facebook at all. I used to be on myspace all the time, but I don't visit there often any more.
don't go on very much since they changed the format. i don't get that! however, i have become friends with many more divas since it has changed.

I am on Facebook and I have caught up with old friends that I have not seen or talked to in many, many years. I get to see pictures of them and they can see pictures of mine. We play games with and against each other and just plain chat and catch up no matter how far apart we are. I am not a demo so I don't know how to answer that part of your question. But catching up with old friends are the best thing about it for me.
