I have a Tivo and I'm not afraid to use it!
Oh my gosh! Am I just the biggest techno-girl-nerd in town? I have not one, but TWO Tivos in my house and they are currently in full operation! I mean, they are in such full operation that I'm surprised that smoke is not coming out of their little vents.
Did I mention that I am an Olympics fan? Actually, I think "fan" is way too mild a word for my absolute devotion to all things Olympic. Ever since 6:00 on Friday night (8/8/08, naturally!) I have been literally glued to my TV set.
My Tivo records about 6-8 hours a day worth of coverage so I've been wearing out my remote zipping through all the boring stuff like basketball, waterpolo, and bike racing, so I can get to the good, juicy stuff like gymnastics, swimming and synchronized diving. We even managed to squeeze in some white-water kayak action for Matt.

It's wonderful stuff, but it's almost like a full time job trying to keep up with all this Olympic goodness - and after all, I DO already have a full time job, plus I think there's some kids and a husband around here somewhere.... I'm not getting much sleep as I can't pry myself away (notice I'm posting this at 12:30 at night), but I'm having a wonderful time getting my Olympic fix.

Speaking of the Winter Olympics, which I love at least TWICE as much as the Summer Olympics, I'm even considering taking a trip to the Vancouver Olympics in 2010. It's not that far and I think that would be awesome. I'm still deciding if it's worth spending my children's college fund, but if I take them with me, I'm hoping it can count as the equivalent of at least a year or two of college - right?

Oh yes i love my DVR...love it! i don't know what i would do if i couldn't record my 'shows' i only watch TV after J goes to be or if she isn't home because i love me some reality TV shows...yep mama needs her trash TV baby!!
I'm an Olympics addict, too. I'm loving this! I've been trying to figure out how/where/when I can get to the Olympics one of these years, too. :)
it's great isn't it? I'm loving the variety of the sports and the exuberance of the winning athletes.

Tee hee! We have THREE DVRs at our house! I've been watching the Olympics and recording everything else!
