Convention Project #6

This is one of two items for our 3D Swaps for our Diva Dinners. We are going to get together with all of the out of town members for my Utah Divas group. This is always a blast to meet all these people we've been chatting with online. We'll all bring hand stamped 3D items like this and then we'll trade them and all take pictures of them.
I was so nervous about participating in this swap because, let's face it, I don't have a lot of imagination for coming up with unique ideas. I tend to rely pretty heavily on copying other people's ideas. Actually, if this looks familiar, I did copy some of my earlier ideas. I used the faux silk technique along with the blurred vision watercolor again. Hey if something is working for me, I tend to like to get a little mileage out of it! I also used my Cuttlebug with my Fruit Smoothie alphabet to do the letters.

If you can't tell, this is a black laquered photo box with a glass top. It's funny because my finished project doesn't usually have any resemblance to my original idea. I was originally going to use some of our new Bella Rosa paper and put it on with some Mod Podge, but I've never used Mod Podge and I got scared to use it. I bought some, but I was afraid it would end up all blurry on the shiny black finish. I'm pretty happy with it and I think someone will be happy to have it.
