Convention Day 4

These first three sets are the sets they gave us for the Make and Take projects. They were very well chosen and will be extremely versatile for projects at our events.
This is a new two-step set called "Flight of the Butterfly". I can see a ton of projects I can make with this baby.
This one is called Eastern Blooms and they also gave us coordinating rub-ons to use with it. I love how all of our products are designed to coordinate with each other!
Sorry you can't see this one well. I didn't get time to mount it. It's called Inspired by Nature and it has two large images that will be mounted on the front and back of the block. One is a silhouette image with daisies and the other one is a grass silhouette. You should see some of the Make & Takes we made with them. I'll try to post those pictures tomorrow (as I haven't taken them yet!).
This one is MY special prize that I won in one of the drawings. It's called Upsy Daisy and in one of the demonstrations, they showed a fabulous project with this set that I hope I can duplicate. I was SO excited to win this set.
I was even more excited a few minutes later when they brought out these sets for ALL of us - yes ALL six thousand of us! It's called Say It With Scallops and it's our Ronald McDonald House set. This was donated to us by UPS, one of our major business partners - GO BIG BROWN!
If you're not familiar with our Ronald McDonald House program, let me explain it. Every year Stampin' Up! donates a whole lot of money, product, time and effort to the RMHC. For starters, we give them a big cash donation - I want to say it's $100,000. Then we design a special stamp set just for them every year and for every one of these sets that is sold, we provide a donation of $2 to the houses. Lastly, we provide teams of demonstrators who go into the houses every month to provide hand stamped projects and other services to the residents there.
How do I know this? Because for the last year and a half, I've been one of these demonstrators. We go there every month and we donate the supplies to make projects with the people staying there, which usually includes parents, siblings, and sometimes the sick children as well. It's very moving to see some of these kids - I'll do a separate post about it sometime. Now, if you'd like to order this set, it will be available in two weeks for $17.95. PS: There's also a new Scalloped Square punch that coordinates perfectly with it.
