More projects
Hi ladies,
I promised you the rest of the projects, so here they are. Usually, I throw in a 3D item, but since we were showing several different techniques tonight, I just stuck with cards. This one used the Popping Pastels technique. Some of my ladies had heard of it, but they'd never used it before, so they were quite pleased to try it. We stamped the stems in Certainly Celery and then stamped the tulip heads in Versamark and dabbed Barely Banana and Pretty in Pink chalks for the tulips. I added the Ticket Corner Punch and the Word Window punch just for fun. I'm just a punchy girl! I thought this was a fun card to brighten things up for Spring. As usual, we've had the most bizarre weather. We've had some beautiful sunny days, but we've also had rain, snow, hail, and just about every other type of weather imaginable. It's driving me crazy wardrobe-wise because I'll put on something warm in the chilly mornings and then be roasting on my way home from work. Oh well, that's Utah for ya!
I didn't do this for my class, but this is the door prize I put together for the Retreat this weekend. Isn't this cute? I found these little lotion bottles at Roberts for a couple of bucks, added some rub-ons, some ribbon and a cute tag.
I have another project I put together for this event, but I wasn't going to show it to you yet. It's a birthday present for my dear friend Max and I know that she pops into my blog once in a while. But I think it's OK to show it now. She'll be too busy putting stuff together for the retreat to surf the 'net this morning. Isn't this cute? Again, I found this little square vase at Roberts for a few dollars and they had these tulips two for a buck. Tulips are my very favorite flower and I particularly like this shade. My Mom used to have these kind of tulips at our old house and they would look like a sunset. I tried to transplant them into our new yard, so we'll see if any of them come up this year. You can't see it very well, but I used some of our SAB Rub-ons to decorate the little vase. I put different flowers and sayings on each side. I am really loving these rub-ons and I constantly find new things to put them on.
OK, now I'm off to pack for the retreat! I won't be posting anything for a couple of days, but when I get back, I should have a ton of great stuff to post!
