Hi folks,
Gosh, it's been a busy week! It's been a busy couple of months for me actually. Besides the loss of my father-in-law and all the attendant stress and mess with that, plus the cruise, we've been running in overdrive for a while. I've also been going through a big deal at work. Since January, we've been going through a change to a new computer system and it's not going well at all.
Our group pays all the phone bills for the bank and I'm responsible for one of the largest vendors. I normally take care of about $3.5M worth of bills in a month and right now I have about half of those bills still sitting on my desk - ugh! I can't pay them because our uploads and downloads and all that stuff just aren't working right. Hopefully it will get cleared up soon, but in the meantime, work is not a real happy place to be.
Anyway, I've been feeling kind of bad because I haven't done a lot of stamping lately and haven't had a lot to post lately, but maybe you'll understand with all this stuff going on. However, I did have something to share with you. We had a meeting of the church ladies the other night and one of the tasks we were asked to do was to create some nametags for an upcoming gathering. Since I'm the Craft person, I thought this sounded right up my alley, so I offered to take on the job. I started working on them tonight and I think they are coming out really cute.
They asked for a birthday theme because it's the anniversary of Presbyterian Women or something, so I thought I could do something fun and easy with stickers. I was going to do them just in plain white because I wasn't sure what would go with the stickers, so instead I picked out some fun birthday colors and just mixed and matched them with the stickers. However, I underestimated the number of stickers I'd need to make 70 of them, so I have to make another trip to the craft store to get some more stickers tomorrow. Yeah, poor me. I have to make another trip to Roberts! I found a killer deal on Easter and St. Patrick's Day stuff - 90% off. I picked up a couple of cute bunnies and some St. Patrick's Day goodies for less than $1 a piece. Now that's a price I can get into! Anyway, I've got a big scrapbooking/stamping weekend coming up in a couple of weeks, so hopefully I'll get my "mojo" back and start having some more fun stuff to post. In the meantime, I'm going to spend the weekend not thinking about all those bills on my desk!
