Finally - some stamp time!
Whew! I finally got some time to get into my stamp room and play with some of my new stamp sets. I was so dreading getting down in there because we had turned my stamp room into "Christmas Wrap Central" during the holidays. The kitties were surprisingly good about not climbing in the Christmas tree, but they were fascinated with the wrapping paper and the presents, so we had to keep it all behind closed doors. Surprisingly, once I actually got down there, it only took about 15 minutes to put it all away. Figures!
This card was a copy of my favorite Christmas card, cased from Samantha Parisi. I love to get a little extra mileage out of my cards. Thanks to all of our patterned papers, you could reuse this design for just about any holiday. Also, I had some precut cardstock in these colors from my Christmas Card stamp-a-stacks, so all I had to do was cut the patterned paper and put the stamps together to have it ready for my Stamp Club night on Tuesday. Much better than my usual last minute scramble!
I have a baby shower to go to on Monday, it's for a baby girl, so of course, I had to make a pretty pink card for it. I got the cutest little hooded towel set with a matching bathrobe. After 25 years of buying boy stuff, I'm always glad for a chance to show on the other side of the store for a change! I've got a bunch of Pink Love Notes left over and I thought they would be fun to use. It's not for a customer, so I was able to use up some of my non-SU stuff. Looks like I need to reink my Pink pad again - I swear I have to reink that one more often than any other pad. Probably because I used too much pink.
I always like to throw in a fun 3D project for my classes, so I thought I'd try this fun birthday gift sack. I haven't used my Doodle This set in ages, so it was a good excuse to bring it and give it a ride.
I tried watercoloring the flowers first, but it just didn't work on that quality of paper, so I decided to cover up the mess by stamping the flowers on colored cardstock and cutting them out. I originally wanted to tie the greeting piece onto the bag handles like a tag, but it just wasn't lining up the way I wanted it, so I attached it directly to the bag with this cute spiral brad.
